Located in the bustling Bugis Junction shopping centre area, Bugis Village comprises 34 three-storey pre-Second World War shop houses that were restored in 1991.

Bugis Village is expected to benefit from an expected increase in consumer traffic following completion of the first Urban Entertainment Centre (“UEC”), expected to be opened in 2011. The UEC is part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s plan to turn the Bras Basah/Bugis district into an arts, culture, learning and entertainment hub, housing cinemas, thematic restaurants, live show dinner theatres, indoor theme parks and entertainment centres, discotheques, fine art galleries, workshops, as well as TV, film and video studios and production facilities.
